Zayn Malik likes chunky women

ZAYN Malik likes "chunky" women.

The former One Direction singer - who was previously engaged to Perrie Edwards and is now dating Gigi Hadid - is attracted to opinionated females who can engage in "intellectual" conversation.

He said: "I need a challenge. Also, I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas -- the nice areas. I like a fuller woman.

"I enjoy an intellectual conversation as well, where someone can construct a sentence beyond what hair and make-up they're wearing, and talk about something political or about the world. I like an opinion."

The 22-year-old singer was taught to cook by his mother and likes to impress women with his culinary skills.

He told Billboard magazine: "I have about six of her signature dishes down, and I'll pull them out for the ladies when I need to."

Zayn has always "fully understood" the devotion of One Direction's female fans because he has grown up around "crazy" women.

He said: "I was raised by a lot of women, so there's nothing any fan girl could've ever taught me about any woman.

"I fully understood every person who'd come and see the band, because I have crazy aunties and crazy sisters who would fan-girl over actors. If people can't have something, they want it."

And since leaving the 'Night Changes' group, Zayn is happier to pose for pictures and spend time with his fans.

He admitted: "It's a bit different now because they're there for just me. I can't jump in a car and be like, 'Yeah! Just take a picture with one of them boys.' I want to do it now."
