Young quartet show off skills

FOUR Warwick State High pupils along with their team mates from Stanthorpe, Toowoomba and Oakey impressed at last month’s National School 2010 Futsal competition in Cornubia, coming third out of 14 teams.

Talitha Doro, Emily Hoffman, Chloe Ruhle and Shandell Doro all from Warwick, were picked to play for the South West Queensland team after being scouted at local futsal competitions.

It was the first time the girls played together as a team and they said they were pleased with their performance at the tournament, making it to the semi finals before going down to South QLD Raiders 4-3.

The South West Queensland team was coached by Lo Barera and managed by Lue Peterson from Oakey.
