Young farmers put to the test once again at the main arena

THE young farmers' challenge is back again for the 2018 Stanthorpe Show.

Anyone aged 18-40 can enter a team of four into the challenge where they will be competing for one of two cash prizes.

The first-placed team will take home a cash prize of $300, while second place-getters will win $200.

More importantly, the people who win from Stanthorpe will go on to compete in the Toowoomba show, where the winner then goes on to the Ekka.

For the Stanthorpe region, the challenges are focused on local farming including apples and livestock related tasks.

Previous year challenges have included cracking of the egg, lasso and building cattle panels.

The event will be held Friday night outside the main bar at 6pm.
