Wyverns on goal spree

WYVERNS forward Michelle Eastwell scored four goals in her side's 15-0 victory against Corinthians in Warwick ladies hockey last weekend.

Best players in the game were Eastwell, her daughter Lauren, Jess Daines and Sarah Kane.

The Warwick under-15 mixed side, which plays in the ladies competition scored an 8-0 victory against a Corinthians side, which played two games at the weekend.

Each umpire allocates six player-of-the-year points to three players. Jacob Reid, Matt Campbell, Jess Daines and Larissa Austin all received points in the U15/Corinthians game.

In the final ladies game on Saturday, Saints scored a 3-0 victory against Harlequins.

The umpires chose Kerri Fitch, Jodie Olsen, Jacqui Croft and Jane Roper as the best on field.

There were also large scorelines in the men's competition with Saints beating Harlequins 10-2.

Noel King, Robert Murphy, Col Booth and Rob Farrell were the best players in the match.

Corinthians beat Wyverns 9-1 in the final men's game of the night. Luke Roche, Graham Olsen, Jason Miller and Drew Jackson were rated the best.
