Women battle it out in nervy match-up

Inter Club v Carlton:

The match between Inter and Carlton Fillies was a tight game and could have gone either way throughout the match.

Although Inter had the majority of possession, they were unable to turn it into goals. The game ended in 1-1.

With a one-nil lead into the half-time break, the Junior Colts game was either team's for the taking.

With Morgan Marino thwarting every Carlton attempt at goal with some great goalkeeping, the Inter boys found rhythm and managed to slot another three goals to make the final score 4-0.

With Carlton low in numbers for Senior Colts, it was always going to be a test. Inter was too good in a 9-1 win.

The Ladies match had everyone on the edge of their seats.

Inter's Celeste Buda put away a goal in the early stages of the first half. The score remained the same, with Carlton unable to square it up.

In a hard-fought game of A-grade, Inter and Carlton struggled to produce good, attacking football.

Neither team was able to score in free play, but Carlton's Michael Torrisi belted home a free kick and followed up by converting a penalty to put the game beyond reach.
