Woman dies after fall from car

A 60-YEAR-OLD woman who fell from a vintage car while trying to close the passenger door on the Cunningham Hwy has died.

Police said the woman was seriously injured in the incident at Tarome on April 12, and died in hospital yesterday.

The woman was a passenger in a vintage model car travelling along the highway, when her side door swung open.

In an attempt to close the rear-hinged-style door, she fell from the vehicle.

The woman was taken by helicopter to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

Investigations are continuing.
