We're ready to Focus on Fuel
WHEN travel is a constant work companion, watching the fuel dial tick down can happen as quickly as the ticking of a clock.
Traveller Ron Perquin's job takes him west to Dalby and as far north as Bowen, but he still returns to Warwick as a home hub.
“The difference in fuel prices does differ greatly from town-to-town, even when they're not too far apart,” Mr Perquin said.
“Take Dalby and Toowoomba for example, they're only one hour apart but the petrol prices are relatively the same. However when you compare Warwick with Toowoomba – again only one hour from each other – Toowoomba is much cheaper.
“I think Warwick is an expensive place to fill up.”
To help keep readers in tune with petrol prices, don't miss the Daily News next week where we will run a Focus on Fuel special, which will compare fuel prices across our APN titles including Toowoomba, Mackay, Rockhampton, Lismore, Sunshine Coast and more to get a regional picture of how the Rose City stacks up with petrol pricing.
We'll also deliver an overview of the average price of petrol in Australia over the past decade as well as tips to save money and hearing from a petrol price analyst who explains how fuel companies share information.
