Wedding bells chime

IN just three days, an entire wedding for Caroline Bell and the love of her life Bryce Dieckmann has taken shape - and it's all because of you, Warwick.

Caroline, a 22-year-old mother of one, was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given just weeks to live.

Her last wish was to marry the man of her dreams and partner of four years, and together with the Warwick community, her family has made it happen.

The couple will wed this Saturday, at the Warwick Golf Club, followed by a reception at the same venue.

Without the support of the community, Caroline's dream would not come true.

One lady who has aided in the preparation of the wedding is Jody Ezzy - a kind-hearted woman from Nobby who heard of Caroline's tale through her horse chiropractor who happened to be Bryce's father.

Mrs Ezzy had never met the couple, but initiated a number of phone calls to get wedding plans under way.

"All I did was make a few calls, I think all they needed was someone to step in and be bossy to give them a little push," Mrs Ezzy said.

"Everything is basically organised, we've just got to finalise things."

She said amid a flurry of phone calls, not one person had failed to lend a helping hand.

"Not one person I have spoken to has said 'no, they're not interested', everyone has said 'What can we do'," Mrs Ezzy said.

"Five celebrants have called offering their services, four cake makers, three photographers - the list keeps going on."

Despite being overwhelmed by support, Caroline's aunt, Di Bennett, said Caroline was still hoping her four relatives in Melbourne could make it to the wedding.

"She (Caroline) said she desperately wants them here for the wedding, because she'll never get to see them again," Ms Bennett said.

"We have exhausted all means of trying to get them here, we just hope we can raise enough money to make it happen."

So far, most elements of the wedding have been donated by businesses and individuals in the community including Caroline's wedding dress, venue, caterers, rings, shoes, glass wear - just to name a few.

Caroline and her family are overwhelmed by everyone's generosity.
