Tate's a Brisbane Lion in training
TIM Tate is in his second season of training with the Brisbane Lions Academy and loving it.
Each week, the Warwick State High School student attends a training session, one week it is a trip with his parents to Coorparoo in Brisbane and the other week it is Toowoomba.
Last season, Tate played for the Redbacks in the Darling Downs under-16 competition but this season will play for the Darling Downs Crows U18 side in the Brisbane competition.
As he didn't turn 16 until January, Tate is eligible for U16 and U18 representative footy this season.
In 2011, he played for the Darling Downs U15 schoolboy's side in the state championships in Townsville where he was selected in the Queensland Country Schoolboys side.
He missed the club representative season with a broken wrist.
"My ambition is to be drafted by the Brisbane Lions," Tate said.
