Warwick wins rep game

A 78-RUN last-wicket stand between Will Gordon and Cahal Davis ensured that Warwick secured victory against Lockyer in under 12 Darling Downs junior representative cricket at Queens Park synthetic yesterday.

Batting first, the Lockyer side was cruising at 2-80 before a collapse saw the side dismissed for 123 runs.

The collapse was triggered by Ben Gross's 3-18 off seven overs and Thomas Bourke with 4-28 off seven overs.

Bourke picked up three wickets within the space of four balls in one of his overs as part of the Lockyer collapse.

Will Gordon was economical with 0-3 off 6 overs.

In reply Warwick lost regular wickets and required 47 runs to win when Davis joined Gordon at the crease with only one wicket remaining.

Gordon finally fell for 69 runs off 113 balls with the score on 145 runs.

The game is not deemed finished until the last wicket falls or overs are bowled out.

Davis finished on six not out off 24 balls.

Warwick went down to Lockyer in the under-14 game at Queens Park turf yesterday.

Lockyer batted first to be dismissed for 138.

Sam Gordon took 3-22 for Warwick.

Carter Bilbrough took two catches and was involved in a run-out with a direct hit.

In reply, Warwick was dismissed for 54, Tom Morris top scored with 12 not out.

At the weekend, Warwick junior fixtures continued with grand finals on March 10.
