Warwick pride on show at parade

THE Wheatvale State School was awarded top overall float in the 2010 Warwick Rose and Rodeo Festival Street Parade.

The procession started on the dot of noon on Saturday and a large crowd watched 43 floats drive, walk and ride from Queens Park up Palmerin Street and back to the park.

There was even more music at the Rodeo Craft Markets in Leslie Park while the parade was in progress.

Schools, community groups and businesses invested significant time and effort into providing a colourful display.

Participants giving away lollies and balloons walked alongside many of the floats.

Rocky, the Senepol bull owned by John Brandon, was on one of the floats as he warms up for another season as mascot of the Queensland Bulls cricket team.
