HOCKEY: Warwick masters hockey player Grant Windle has hit the winning goal in a hockey premiership win for the Nambour Blue Demons.

Windle played all his junior hockey for Warwick and returned this season to play for the Warwick team which came third in division 1 at the state championships at Queens Park in Warwick.

He was selected for his first Queensland over 35s team after the carnival in Warwick but is playing club hockey on the Sunshine Coast where he lives.

The score between Nambour and Caloundra was 2-all at half-time in the grand final at the weekend before Windle scored the winning goal with 10 minutes to go with a tomahawk shot.

Warwick player Jake Reid travelled to the Sunshine Coast for six games with Nambour but didn't play in the grand final as he played in a premiership win in Toowoomba hockey.

Reid also played for Wyverns in Thursday night Warwick hockey this season and all his three club teams made grand finals.

Former Warwick player Jason Mangan was player of the match in an A2 Brisbane premiership win.
