Warwick homes light up

'TIS the season to be jolly and the judges of the Warwick Christmas Lights competition were just that on Monday night.

Courtesy of Warwick Charter Coaches, Warwick Daily News office manager Jo Cuskelly, Bank of Queensland representative Dianne Crowe and Power Safe Electrical's Laurel Hughes went on a tour of Warwick's Christmas lights in search of the Best House, Best Neighbours and Best Business.

Mrs Cuskelly said she was impressed with the amount of effort put into each house.

"I was so amazed at how wonderful all the homes looked," she said.

"Every house had something different and unique.

"It felt like such a Christmas wonderland ... all of us were very impressed."

The winners of the competition will be announced on Friday, December 30, after all the entries have been counted for the People's Choice award - so don't forget to nominate your favourite.

The Best House winners will receive a Bank of Queensland account with $250 in it; Best Neighbours will receive LED Christmas lights to the value of $100 from Power Safe Electrical and the Best Business will receive a free 10 x 7 advertisement in the Warwick Daily News.

There's also the Spirit of Christmas people's choice award in which people simply have to pick up a copy of the Christmas Lights Map from the Warwick Daily News and fill out the entry form.

The winner of the people's choice award will win a ham worth $125 from Carey Bros.
