UPDATE: Men injured in crash were Stanthorpe locals

UPDATE: A STANTHORPE man, 29 was airlifted to the PA hospital with serious head injuries after a single vehicle roll over at Applethorpe this morning.

Emergency services received the call out at 3.41am this morning to the traffic accident on Applethorpe Road between Taggart and Border Roads.

Three local men including a 20 year old passenger who is being kept at the Stanthorpe hospital with minor injuries and another 16 year old who was unharmed were in the vehicle at the time it ran off the road.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

10AM: A MAN seriously injured in a car rollover near Applethorpe this morning has been airlifted to the PA Hospital in Brisbane with serious head injuries.

The other man injured in the crash remains in a stable condition in the Stanthorpe Hospital with minor injuries.

7AM: A MAN has been transported to Stanthorpe Hospital this morning with serious injuries after the car he was travelling in rolled near Applethorpe.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said two men had been travelling on Applethorpe Rd when their vehicle rolled about 3.40am.

One man was rushed to Stanthorpe Hospital with serious head injuries while the other man was transported to the same hospital in a stable condition with relatively minor injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
