THE Ballandean Tavern is the place to be for a true blue experience this Australia Day.

The tavern is running a day with activities for young and old, starting at 11.30am on Friday, January 26.

Expected to run until 5pm, the day will be filled with a variety of activities for all ages and there will be burgers, a sausage sizzle and live music from the Graniteers.

Activities include old school Australian games such as egg and spoon races, egg throwing, thong throwing, limbo and three legged races, among others.

Ballandean Tavern Owner Tracey Hilton said the day would include something for everyone and everyone was encouraged to come down for an afternoon of "games, fun and frivolity and beer on the veranda”.

"Just bring your Aussie spirit really,” Tracey said

For more information contact the tavern on 46841044.
