Truck catches fire west of Stanthorpe

FIRE crews were called to Pikedale, west of Stanthorpe, last night when a truck caught fire around 9pm.

Two urban appliances and one rural appliance were called to Texas Rd at Pikedale where the three-tonne truck had blocked the roadway.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said the prime mover was burnt out by the time crews arrived on scene.

The fire was extinguished at 9.53pm before heavy haulage was called to move the vehicle.

Queensland Ambulance attended the scene but no one was injured in the blaze.
