
Tributes flow after death of local
THE Warwick community is in mourning following the shock death of former Warwick State High School student Corey Thornton earlier this week.
Friends flooded the fun-loving 27-year-old’s Facebook page yesterday to pay their respects to the mate who was taken from them “too soon”.
Many messages made a special mention of the young daughter Mr Thornton, who had been living at the Gold Coast, tragically leaves behind.
“So so sad to hear the news Corey, my heart is so heavy, thoughts and love to all your family and friends and your beautiful little girl at this time,” one tribute read.
“RIP mate....we r all devastated and it’s just like a bad dream. U will be missed but never forgotten. A great friend, great father and always up for a good time....such a sad day. Corey, we all love you.
“Rest well old friend. It is hard not to have faith in a greater power and an afterlife when we are graced with people as beautiful as you in our lives. You will be missed and missed forever. safe journey from here on, I see u soon brother.”
