VIDEO: Rider injured at Imbil winched into chopper
A TRAIL bike rider has been seriously injured in an accident at Imbil State Forest, west of Kenilworth.
The male rider was winched to safety by a RACQ CareFlight helicopter after injuring himself while riding with friends Sunday at about 11am.
The injured rider is understood to be in his late-40s.
He suffered leg, chest and arm injuries, and was airlifted in a stretcher into the aircraft.

A RACQ CareFlight Rescue spokesman said the forest canopy at the site was so dense that the helicopter had to land at a campsite nearby and pick up a friend of the rider, who directed the crew to the area.
The injured rider was taken to Nambour General Hospital in a serious condition.
Meanwhile in Mapleton, two cars collided yesterday afternoon, leaving a woman with minor injuries.
The accident occurred about one kilometre from Mapleton on the inbound side of the road about 3.30pm.
Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene.
A female occupant of one of the vehicles was taken to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
