Top spot to work now
FOR 30 years Margaret Miller has been buttering bread and making cuppas for Warwick Rodeo and Show volunteers as they make the events the brilliant spectacular they are each year.
After several years with the help of many sponsors, the Show and Rodeo Society and the Warwick Work Camp women have built a volunteer canteen into the great establishment it is today, Maggie’s Kitchen.
For the first time, volunteers will be able to relax in the shade as the Rotary Club of Warwick Sunrise extended the kitchen cover area, thanks to the generously of local businesses.
“This is brilliant and it is a necessity,” Mrs Miller said.
Past president Doug Bryce thanked the club members and contributors for their help, including Stratco for donation of cladding and Laney’s Steel fabrication for the structure and insulation. Other contributors Greg Eather, Civil Construction for concreting and layout, Peter Stephens for plumbing and construction and CG Welding for enclosing gates.
