Teenager Tiffany claims emotional win in Rio

Tiffany Thomas Kane is just 15 and on top of the world after winning gold in the 100m SB6 breaststroke at the Rio Paralympics.

"I'm feeling so happy and shocked, I wanted to win that medal," Thomas Kane (pictured) said.

"Just to be able to think that I have it now and it's mine, I'm just really happy and I can't believe it.

Her tears during the presentation ceremony showed how much the medal meant to Thomas Kane.

The event is Thomas Kane's pet race.

Despite this she said she was really nervous beforehand.

"I just thought (I have) to go try my best," Thomas Kane said.

"I'm just so happy to think that the gold medal is mine, and I did it."

Thomas Kane said it had been a long four years waiting for this event.
