Local drought relief

ON Friday, our school captains were pleased to present Mrs Kay Heran, Glen Aplin QCWA Branch President, with our school's donation of over $500 to the QCWA Public Rural Crisis Fund for distribution to local drought affected families.

Our students and their families, many who are themselves feeling the sad consequences of the drought, gave very generously. Mrs Heran explained that funds are used to assist in payment of bills and provide credits at stores for purchase of basic items.

Thank you teacher aides

STUDENTS showed their appreciation to our wonderful teacher aides recently when World Teacher Aides Day was observed.

Our aides were presented with special 'sweet' certificates designed by our Year 6 girls with such praise as "You are Extra (packet of Extra mints attached) special”. "You are the best in the Milky Way (Milky Way bar attached)”.

Our school could not provide the added value support for our students without our teacher aides assisting our teachers to deliver educational programs.
