Thulimbah State School welcome new preppies

A VERY warm welcome back to the new school year to all involved with the Thulimbah State School community.

It has also been a pleasure to welcome some new families to our school.

We know that you will enjoy your time at Thulimbah.

Our school community has also welcomed our largest cohort of Prep students for many a year.

Seven bright and bubbly Preppies walked in the gate two weeks ago and have enjoyed every moment of big school since.

Sports at Thulimbah

As always, Thulimbah students have a busy term ahead of them.

This term we have Sporting Schools once again.

This time around, students will be participating in athletics lessons.

Students will be able to sharpen their athletics skills prior to the athletics season, which is occurring in term 2 this year.

Also on the sporting front, our upper school students will be playing softball in the inter-school competition this term.

Buzzing classrooms

Our P-2 and 3-6 classrooms are buzzing with enthusiasm as students dive into the term's work and the important task of developing their literacy and numeracy skills.

In the Arts curriculum area, our students will be focussing on visual arts this term in the lead-up to our annual Art Show, occurring in the final week of term one.

Our Year 6 students have begun their leadership journey and are already demonstrating many qualities integral to the role of effective student leadership.
