3 youths charged over vandalism
THREE youths have been charged after breaking in and vandalising the Warwick Golf Course, as reported in the Daily News yesterday.
A Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch spokesman said a 16-year-old male and two 14-year-old males had been charged over the vandalism.
“They will all be charged with entering premises to commit (an offence), two charges of stealing, wilful damage, as well as possessing a dangerous drug and possessing a utensil,” the spokesman said.
All three Warwick teens are due to appear in the Warwick Children's Court on July 26.
The spokesman said he believed almost all of the stolen equipment – including golf clubs and gear estimated to be worth about $6000 – had been returned to the Warwick Golf Club.
