‘No junk mail': Lewd surprise on letterbox

A DILDO bandit left one Mackay family shocked and in hysterics after their teenage son found an ominous looking sex toy on their letter box.

Andergrove mother Paula Thompson said even more bizarre was the fact the item had been neatly arranged on their property.

Her 15-year-old son made the bombshell find just before 8pm on Tuesday.

"My son has come running into the house and he was stuttering 'there's a dildo on our letter box'," Mrs Thompson said.

When she and her husband James Thompson went outside to investigate, they spotted the black strap-on.

"And the fact that it was put there nicely," she said.

"Someone had to reach in to put it on the letter box."

The family took the suspected prank in good humour. Mrs Thompson said she initially thought a family member had been behind the joke, but that was not the case.

"I was not touching it, my partner put it straight in the bin," she laughed.

"He was just laughing - we were all just laughing."

Mrs Thompson immediately took to social media with the incident and her post has since received more than 720 likes and 120 comments.

One commenter even joked they would be checking their mailbox now as "those things are expensive" while others asked if the object was still available.

One clever commenter even wrote: Maybe try a "no junk mail" label on the letter box?

"It was a bizarre night, especially for my son who found it," she said.

Mr Costigan also took the incident in good humour poking fun at the creative critic on social media.
