Texas start off year swimmingly

WE HAVE started 2019 with great enthusiasm.

We have a new principal for the first semester of this year with Justin moving over to Stanthorpe High School.

Sarah-Jane Clark comes to us from Tieri State School.

We also have Kiah Johnstone and Sabrina Katras filling two teaching roles.

Anya Ryan has also joined us this year in the Student Services department. Welcome to not only our school, but to Texas.

First week back at school and our swimmers came out for our interhouse swimming carnival.

Burilda was the winning colour on the day - congratulations yellow team.

Age champions are as follows

8 years - Amelia H and Nicolas M

9 years - Emilia C & Oliver S

10 years - India C & Matthew D

11 years - Leah S, Ethan C and Will R

12 years - Mia B, William S and Stafford C

13 years - Bridie B, Molly C and Matthew L

14 years - Sophie S and Joseph M

Open years - Emma C and John L

Leah S broke records for 11 years - 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle abd 200 individual medley.

Lexi M broke the 7 years - 25m Butterfly record as well.

Congratulations to all for their participation.
