Tenants charged with arson over Qld house fires
A WOMAN has been charged with arson following a house fire in Upper Kedron overnight.
It will be alleged at about 9.50pm the woman set fire to the garage of the house in which she is a tenant.
The garage has been damaged by the fire however no one has been physically injured.
The woman was arrested shortly after at the house.
A 46-year-old Upper Kedron woman has been charged with one count of arson and is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, detectives investigating a house fire at Kallangur yesterday have charged a man.
It will be alleged that at about 6pm the man set fire to the loungeroom of the house before leaving the Rosenlund residence.
The man is a tenant of the house and was located by police shortly after in Rosenlund Street.
A 26-year-old Kallangur man is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
