Teams to take the court for futsal finals

FUTSAL: Teams from the Stanthorpe Fitness Centre’s futsal competition are gearing up for preliminary and grand finals tomorrow, where Stanthorpe’s top futsal team will be crowned.

Finals are being held in both junior and senior competitions, and Stanthorpe Fitness Centre co-ordinator Chanel Fonoti said it was going to be a close race to the finish for all teams.

“It’s going to be a great afternoon for all teams,” she said.

“The little ones really love the sport – it’s great to see them getting out there and having a good time.”

As for the seniors, Ms Fonoti said Carlton and Eagles were the teams to watch out for.

“It will definitely be a good game to watch, they have been neck and neck all season,” she said.

All games will take place at the Stanthorpe Fitness Centre on Wednesday, December 3.

Junior teams will kick off the afternoon with their preliminary finals from 3.45pm, followed by the grand final at 4.55pm.

While the seniors preliminary finals will start from 6pm and their grand final at 7.25pm.
