Rally Queensland set for Sunshine Coast
THE International Rally of Queensland (IROC) arrives on the Sunshine Coast on Friday, June 19 with its mix of "Sun, Sea and Speed" before embarking on 265km of dirt stages through Imbil State Forest.
Proceedings kick off with a ceremonial start and free street party in Bulcock St, Caloundra from 4.30pm on June 19, where competitors in the 2015 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) can meet fans and show off their world-class rally cars.
The event is an ideal stepping stone for future rally stars, with previous winners of the APRC including double WRC Champion Carlos Sainz, Possum Bourne, Kenneth Eriksson and Chris Atkinson.

Current Junior World Champion Pontus Tideman of Sweden is leading the 2015 APRC standings after two rounds in his factory Skoda Fabia S2000 rally car, and is favourite going into the Queensland round.
Also worth looking out for is rising Australian star Molly Taylor, widely regarded as the world's fastest female rally driver. The British and European Ladies Champion will campaign her Renault Sport Clio R3 on the Sunshine Coast, hoping to extend her lead in the Australian Rally Championship after an historic first female victory at last month's Canberra Rally.
Up to 80 rally cars will be displayed to the public at Friday evening's Caloundra event before competitive action begins at 7.30 the next morning in the hinterland town of Kenilworth. Eighteen stages of gravel roads through Imbil State Forest in the Mary Valley will follow over the weekend.
The Friday night street party is free, while tickets priced from $30 for an adult day pass to multiple spectator points for the rally proper are available at www.rallyqueensland.com.au, at spectator point entry gates and at the Imbil Showground competitor service park.
