Students take home art show prizes
Crisps art show success
SEVERAL Greenlands students have received awards at the recent Crisps Youth Art Prize held at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery.
This year's theme was Art in Science and all 108 students across the school submitted an entry.
What a wonderful display it was with more than 700 entries from around the Granite Belt.
Congratulations to Darby (1st), Valen (2nd), Archie (2nd) and Tasha (highly commended) on receiving an award.
Thank you to the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery and Crisps Coaches for supporting schools in the region.
Continued academic success
THOSE at the school have been very pleased with the continued high results in this year's Year 3 and 5 NAPLAN tests.
Again, we maintained our high academic standard across the tested strands and students performed significantly above the national average in all areas.
Community spirit prevails
THE recent Greenlands Trail Ride held in late August was again a major success despite the rain.
Keen trail bike riders rated the track as the best it's ever been and the ride organisation, camp facilities and administration was one of the best among all trail rides in Queensland.
A big thank you to our sponsors and to Stanthorpe State High School for running the canteen. In 2019, the GTR has a new date, February 23 and 24.
