Students start year preparing for the 2019 Stanthorpe Show
WELCOME to the 2019 school year.
A very warm welcome back to our students and families and a special welcome to our six new students and their families who have recently joined The Summit School community. All of the P-2 students have enjoyed some fun activities this week.
Our first Maths lesson for the year involved packets of Smarties and on Wednesday afternoon they had fun making playdough for our classroom.
An annual activity for the Stanthorpe Show is to create creatures from fruit and vegetables.
The students thoroughly enjoy this activity and makes a fond memory as demonstrated when our older students reminisce about their creations from previous years. Thank you to Sam's Fruit and Vegetables for the kind donation of the produce.
The Year 3-6s have also made a great start to the year. During their first week, they have completed some Australia Day activities and drawn the other half of their self-portraits. They have begun their Science unit "Our Place in the Solar System” for this term.
Enrolments continue to be accepted - contact our office on 07 4683 2333 for more information.
