
Stosur gets champion's backing in Paris
THE first of Evonne Goolagong Cawley's seven grand slam singles titles came in the 1971 French Open.
In this year's tournament at Paris she will be cheering for Aussie Sam Stosur in the hope she can add to her grand slam title list.
"I'm glad she's had a good warm-up (Winning the Strasbourg Open)," Goolagong Cawley said.

"She's quite capable of winning a grand slam.
"She won the US Open.
"I hope winning her last game has given her confidence to go out and do well.
"The surface suits her and she has a lot of power."
Stosur won her opening round match, beating US player Madison Brengle 6-3, 61.
She will play French wildcard Amandine Hesse in round two.
