State high hosts Japanese visitors

STANTHORPE State High School recently hosted a cohort of visiting students from the Southern Downs' sister region in Japan.

Stanthorpe State High School student Emily Fairbank said this marked her first time hosting an international student.

Mei Segawa was staying with Emily during the trip and said it was great to learn about Australia.

"I've had a very exciting experience,” she said.

Mika Wallenius was one of the Japanese students' accompanying teachers and said the trip was a great opportunity.
