Stanthorpe man faces stabbing charge

A STANTHORPE man who was accused of stabbing another man faced Warwick Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded in custody and ordered to appear at the Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on March 20.

Dwayne Dominic D'Cunha allegedly stabbed a 31-year-old French national about 1.30am on Sunday.

The court heard Stanthorpe police attended a unit on Railway St after they received a 000 call; they located the victim who had non-life threatening stab wounds to his shoulder and back.

Thirty-five-year-old D'Cunha was originally given bail on Sunday but allegedly broke his conditions by visiting the victim's house.
