Theme sets imaginations racing

START knitting those beanies, scarves and tree decorations because Jumpers and Jazz in July will be here before you know it.

Warwick Art Gallery director Karina Devine said this is the ninth year the festival has been held.

"Jumpers and Jazz will run from July 19-July 29," Mrs Devine said.

"This year we have 111 trees that can be decorated and there are only seven left.

"If people want to decorate a tree they should come to the art gallery, where we have registration forms.

"There are three sections - open, knitting and crochet - and themed which is spice.

"We hope to see a few spice girls, lots of lovely colour, reds and oranges, and are looking forward to how people interpret the theme."

Warwick Tourism and Events CEO Tracy Vellacott said it will be an event everyone can enjoy.

"After surviving my first Jumpers and Jazz as co-organiser last year, I am really looking forward to this year's event," Mrs Vellacott said.

"We encourage anyone holding an event under the Jumpers and Jazz name to contact Tourism and Events so we can assist with event promotion."
