Solider in serious condition after G20 training accident
A SOLDIER has been seriously injured during a G20 training exercise in Brisbane.
It is understood the soldier sustained spinal injuries.
Emergency services were notified of the incident about 9pm on Wednesday and scrambled to clear a space at a suburban hockey field in the city's north for a Black Hawk helicopter to land.
The soldier was then transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where it is understood he remains in a serious, but stable condition.
The Australian Defence Force said in a statement the soldier received immediate first aid, but would not provide any further details of the soldier's medical condition, their service history or the training exercise.
