Snake bites man at Wellcamp this afternoon

A MAN has been rushed to Toowoomba Hospital after a reported snake bite west of the city this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to the Wellcamp Westbrook Road property at Wellcamp just after 2.30pm with reports a man had suffered a snake bite.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics applied a pressure bandage before transporting the man to Toowoomba Hospital.

He was transported in a stable condition.

It is not yet known what sort of snake bit the man.
