Devonleigh sold to local buyers

SIGNATURE Warwick farming property Devonleigh at Emu Vale has been sold today to local buyers for an undisclosed figure.

The 205 hectare property - in a district renowned for its kikuyu creek flats and scrub soils - was put up for auction by the Judd family and passed in this morning at $1.1 million.

Wes Judd stepped down as president of Australian Dairy Farmers earlier this year to concentrate on his new family dairy farming operation at Millmerran.

Agent Mal Sheard of Stuart Bond Real Estate said there were three registered bidders at the auction, with a sale negotiated with the successful buyer a short time after the property was passed in.

The new owners have declined to be identified.
