Sign on for another swimming season
SWIMMING: Swimming season has started back, with the first squad sign-on night to be held this week.
The Stanthorpe Swimming Club will hold its first meeting for the season tomorrow night at the Stanthorpe Swimming Pool.
As this is a come-and-try night, all new and returning swimmers are asked to be at the pool by 5.30pm so heats can be organised.
No times will be recorded.
The season will then officially commence on Friday, October 14.
Please have nominations in no later than 5pm tomorrow afternoon.
Registration prices are as follows:
Eight years and under -$50 per child
Nine years or over- $100 per child
Three or more children - $250 for the family
The Stanthorpe Swimming Club is looking forward to diving straight into the season, with the first competition meet only two weeks away.
Club president Shannon Armbruster encouraged everyone to head along and participate in the sign-on evening.
"It's a fun night, it's not overly competitive, it's just to improve kids with their swimming and racing skills,” she said.
"If you're not sure, just come and have a look and see what it's all about.”
