Show marks start of new season

THE roses are red and the dahlias are blooming as the annual Autumn Flower Show for 2012 draws closer.

The day will kick off at 8am on Wednesday, March 7, and go until 4pm on Thursday, March 8.

Warwick Horticultural Association secretary Margot Cory said there will be something for everyone this year.

"It's a great show," Mrs Cory said.

"Hopefully we will have some good dahlias but that all depends on the weather."

There will be vegetables and flowers, and even something for the kids.

"They can make mystical creatures from fruit and veg and all sorts of things," Mrs Cory said.

Entrants must submit their items before 10am on the Wednesday.

Public viewing will continue until 4pm, reopening Thursday 9am to 4pm.
