Service clubs come together for farmers
DROUGHT. We know about it, we're living in it. It is bad round where we live, but even worse in western Queensland and New South Wales.
Farmers need feed for their stock, water for their crops. We all want to help. And now you can. The Stanthorpe service clubs of Rotary, Lions and Zonta are combining to hold a huge fundraising event for the drought relief campaign on Friday evening, September 21, at the Exhibition Hall in the Showgrounds. For a small cover charge of $20 you will be entertained, involved in trivia games, able to try karaoke, encouraged to take part in auctions and raffles and lots more. There will be a bar operating and the option of purchasing food in however small or large quantities you wish. Tickets need to be pre-purchased at Bendigo Bank. Above all, you will know you are helping in this urgent and needy appeal. So mark September 21 in your diaries - it will be a good one.
