Man, 67, killed in three-vehicle crash at Caboolture

THE Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal three vehicle crash that occurred on the D'Aguilar Highway at Caboolture on Sunday afternoon.

Initial information suggests that three vehicles collided around two kilometres west of the Caboolture Showgrounds just after 2pm.

A 67-year-old Bray Park man was located deceased at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.

Earlier, police said the people travelling in the vehicles have all sustained injuries as a result of the crash.

One was being transported via helicopter to Brisbane and the others are being transported to the Caboolture Hospital.

The D'Aguilar Highway was closed in both directions. Police were advising motorists to use an alternative route.

It follows another fatality at Maroochydore on Friday night in which a 30-year-old man from Alexandra Headland was killed.

Initial investigations suggest that around 10pm, a vehicle travelling south along the Sunshine Motorway crashed into a tree.

The man was located deceased at the scene. There were no passengers.

Clayton's Towing of Bli Bli had the arduous task of retrieving the crumpled vehicle from the tangle of trees and branches.
