Semi-trailer rolls over
THE driver of a semi-trailer carrying concrete powder was taken to Warwick Hospital with neck pain after his vehicle left the road and overturned on the New England Highway south of The Glen at 3pm yesterday.
Stanthorpe resident Sheena Priestley and her husband were following the semi-trailer when it tipped over.
“He tried to straighten it up and the trailer just went,” Mrs Priestley said.
Warwick Police said it appeared the driver slowed down and moved over when an engine management light came on, at which time the trailer overturned.
One lane of the road was re-opened at 5pm.
