Scots boys serenade sweethearts
IN A scene straight from Romeo and Juliet, girl boarders at Scots PGC were wooed by their male peers as a pre-Valentines Day gesture at the weekend.
Year 10-12 boy boarders hopped on a bus Friday night, bound for the girls' dormitory to stand under their balconies and sing their hearts out.
They performed three songs - She Thinks my Tractor's Sexy, Without You and I'm Yours - which they had been rehearsing each night after dinner for more than the past two weeks.
"It was pretty funny seeing them get off the bus wearing boxers, white shirts and a tie," said Year 12 student Shannon Kriedemann.
"But it was really nice."
After their small serenade, the Year 10 and Year 11 boys returned to their dorms while Year 12 boys were allowed to watch the romantic/comedy Leap Year.
They also enjoyed Valentine-themed cakes made by senior boarding assistant head Duncan Thane and wife Jan.
Scots PGC boarders have been carrying on the cute Valentines Day tradition since 2004.
