Score of 175 wins the draft
TALGAI rider Glen Evans, riding Eskdale West Rugged Kid, won the Carmen Batterham Memorial Campdraft with a score of 175 over two rounds at the Bony Mountain Recreation Reserve at the weekend.
Rob Wanstall, from Oakey, riding Fancy was second with 173 and Jackie Knudsen third on 172 on Cissy Bright's horse Doc's Decoy.
Goondiwindi rider Terry Hall won the maiden on Sonita Acre with a score of 174. Shane Corbould was second on Larry with 173 and Joel Thompson third on 171.
Christine Hall, of Goondiwindi, won the novice with 177 on Romantic Spin. Nobby rider Michael Boyce was second on Robin Ray with 173 and Mick Aspinall, of Warwick, third on Miss Hankman, with 172.
The juvenile feature campdraft was won by Christian Ramsay who hails from east of the Great Dividing Range. He was riding M'Jane, owned by his grandfather Terry Fitzgerald.
Cambooya Pony Club member Tonya Hayward, on Princess Lu Lu, was second with her brother John Hayward third on his horse.
Two Wheatvale riders, Samantha Burton and Lachy McMahon, made the final of the juvenile. Lachy was sixth after being in the top-three in round one.
Zac Monckton, of Elbow Valley, won an encouragement award in the juvenile draft. Killarney rider Nathan Brown led after round one.
In the juniors, Warwick rider Hayden Aspinall won on Warpaint. Cooper Rafton, from Allora, was second on Demon and Mikaylah Boyce third on Clancy.
The money raised goes to the Wheatvale State School P&C, Cunningham Polocrosse Club and Cunningham Pony Club.
