School fraternity unites in preparation for event

Centenary preparations

WITH only a couple of weeks to go, the Severnlea community is busy preparing for their upcoming centenary celebration on November 3.

It will be a day of nostalgia and fun activities with a lot of interest being shown by past students and families.

The day will end with a special dinner at the Civic where attendees will partake in a two course meal. A bar and a live music will also be available.

Tickets are still available. It will be a great opportunity to catch up with Severnlea friends old and new.

Working bee

IN preparation for the Severnlea centenary, the Severnlea community braved the elements two weekends ago to form a working bee. The grounds were thoroughly treated to a manicure and rooms were tidied. A sausage sizzle and refreshments were enjoyed by all who attended. Cooper Wren took some fantastic aerial shots of the school yard with his drone providing a bird's eye view of the work that was completed. Severnlea School P&C would like to thank all who were in attendance.

Interschool competitions

THE inter-school competitions for term four involves tennis and chess. The school will have two chess teams and a tennis team competing against other schools each Friday.
