Say hi to our new journo

HELLO everyone.

My name is Liana and I'm super excited to be joining the Border Post team.

I was born in Brisbane and this is my first time moving cities - Stanthorpe is definitely a big change.

I've recently graduated from QUT studying journalism and public relations.

I've previously worked for the ABC and Brisbane Times. However, my favourite past role was working for community radio.

I strongly believe everyone has a story to tell and everyone deserves to be heard. It doesn't matter if you're the prime minister or average Joe, every person is equally important. Being a part of the process is the reason I became a journalist.

I can't wait to hear all the great stories from the people in this community.

On my days off you will likely catch me walking along Quart Pot Creek or hanging around at local cafes. Feel free to say hello as I am always up for a chat.

I'm a massive animal lover - anything from cats and dogs to birds and reptiles, I love them all. I'm a massive coffee addict so it's rare you will catch me without one. More than anything I enjoy making people laugh. Bad puns are my speciality.

I can't wait to meet everyone and become a part of this community.
