Santa takes schedule in his stride

FOR most people, Christmas is a busy time of year spent rushing around - but few could boast schedules which would equal that of one man - Santa Claus.

For the past few weeks, the man in red has been spotted all over the Rose City - both with and without his reindeer - handing out treats, taking Christmas wish lists and generally spreading festive cheer.

One of his many important jobs is getting out and about to find out what good little kids want for Christmas.

At one of his many stop-offs - Rose City Shoppingworld - yesterday Santa was listening to the requests of local children.

He told the Daily News his favourite part of the job in the lead-up to Christmas was putting smiles on children's faces.

He said one of the challenges was getting the children to tell him what they wanted.

"It's trying to get them away from the 'I don't know what I want for Christmas' because I can't go to suppliers and tell them how much I need unless I know what everyone is asking for," he said.

Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to listen to the Christmas wishes of Warwick youngsters and even pose for photo or two.

He'll be at Rose City Shoppingworld today and tomorrow, at 10am-12pm and 1pm -3pm.
