RSL win 2015 cricket grand final
RSL has taken out the 2015 Stanthorpe cricket grand final in front of a strong crowd at C.F White Oval on Saturday afternoon.
After setting Valleys a target of 180, RSL's bowlers finished the job with six overs to spare.
Despite some spirited batting by John Fletcher and Damian Anderson, Valleys were no match for the minor premiers.
It was a long awaited win for the RSL boys after losing the past two grand finals to Souths.
"It wasn't an easy win at all, we had to fight for every run and every wicket," RSL captain Will Dowie said.
"We batted really well. Everyone scored a few runs and we bowled amazing."
Man of the match Luke Brady said the win was a whole team effort.
"It's not one guy that wins the final, it's eleven players and we played well as a team all year," he said.
