Rotary donates $1000 to Men's Shed

A SUM of $1000 is about to lend a helping hand to the Warwick Men's Shed Inc as it works to set up a permanent home in the former Rosenthal Council depot.

President of the Rotary Club of Warwick Lewis von Stieglitz said the Men's Shed was a worthy cause.

"We became aware of the shed and its increasingly important role in dealing with men's issue and decided that it fits our focus of supporting local initiatives," Mr von Stieglitz said.

Treasurer of Warwick Men's Shed Inc John Wode is optimistic for the shed's future in the community.

"We are still in the process of getting established but the goal is to provide help for the wellbeing of men by providing group activities, mentoring and the sharing of skills," Mr Wode said.

"Long term we hope that the men will be able to give back to the community that has supported us wherever possible."

"We really appreciate Rotary's interest and support."

If anyone is seeking support they can contact the Mike Chilcott from the Men's shed on 4661 4494.
