Rider charged with drug driving after kangaroo collision

A MOTORCYCLE rider, who crashed into a kangaroo near Stanthorpe on Friday night, has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

 He suffered substantial leg injuries when his bike and a kangaroo collided at Mount Tully.

A friend of the man attended the scene of the accident to pick up the motorcycle.

The friend was later allegedly found to be in the possession of marijuana and smoking utensils and was charged accordingly.
